Compassionate God, we gather to remember
our sister Catherine Peco, also loving
aunt, great aunt, cousin and friend.

We have seen her faith and goodness,
her daring and vitality, her humble frailty.

Many have been blest by her smile,
her interest, her stories kept fresh by her
clear mind and caring heart.

The lowly
have been held high, their
dignity proclaimed in
many lands.

Because we have known Cathy
we are grateful. Be with us
loving God as we let Cathy's
love live on. Amen.

Sr. Cathy Peco became a registered nurse in 1947 and entered Our Lady's Missionaries in 1952. She worked as a nurse, first in Canada, then in Japan, South Vietnam and Nigeria. She returned to Canada in 1998 due to ill health and remained with her community in Toronto until her death on September 20, 2006.
