Founded in 1918 to train and send missionary priests to China, Scarboro Missions evolved to include lay missioners and to serve God’s people not only in China but in other parts of Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Canada.
The Civil Corporation of the Scarboro Foreign Mission Society (Scarboro Missions) is composed of the Bishops of Ontario and the General Council of the Society. They are assisted by the Secretary General and Treasurer General of the Society as well as by a number of appointed lay advisors.
The General Council is the Society’s leadership team comprised of the Superior General and Councillors. All Society administration is managed by the Financial Affairs Office and the Archives.
